LawHQ Technology Services LLC (“LawHQ Tech,” “us,” “we,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) carefully as it will help you make informed decisions about sharing your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information.

  1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

LawHQ Tech operates a marketplace of sites, products, applications, features, and services (collectively “Services”). Services are provided by LawHQ Tech and by third parties (“Marketplace Providers”).

When you use a Service provided by a Marketplace Provider (an “MP-Service”), whether and how that Marketplace Provider will collect and use information you share in connection with the MP-Service is governed by any applicable Service-Specific Terms (“Service-Specific Terms”). The list of Services, providers, and Service-Specific Terms is available here.

  2. Automatically Collected Information

When you access, browse, or use the Services, LawHQ Tech automatically collects certain technical information:

    • Cookies and Similar Technologies: LawHQ Tech may use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to recognize you, customize your experience, track usage, and target ads and remarketing to you (e.g., Google Ads).
    • Log Information: LawHQ Tech may log your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, and other information about how you navigate the Services.
    • Analytics Data: LawHQ Tech may use third-party analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how you use the Services.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, doing so may limit your ability to use certain features of the Services.

  3. Information that LawHQ Tech Collects and Processes

The nature and scope of information that LawHQ Tech collects and processes depends on which Services you use and how you interact with them.

When you create a user account, LawHQ Tech collects the information you provide in connection with your account profile, such as your name, email address, address, and phone number.

When you use a Service provided by LawHQ Tech (an “LHQ-Service”), LawHQ Tech may process the information you submit as necessary to operate the Service, as described in this Privacy Policy and any applicable Service-Specific Terms.

LawHQ Tech has limited or no access to information submitted in connection with MP-Services.

  4. Limited Use of User-Submitted Data

LawHQ Tech does not use the content, data, and information you submit through the Services (“User-Submitted Data”) to train or fine-tune large language models or other artificial intelligence models. LawHQ Tech may use User-Submitted Data only as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, support, and improve the functionality of the Services in ways that do not involve training or fine-tuning such models. If LawHQ Tech offers a Service that uses User-Submitted Data to train or fine-tune large language models or other artificial intelligence models, that use will be disclosed in the applicable Service-Specific Terms and will only occur with your separate and express opt-in.

  5. Sharing Your Information

LawHQ Tech does not sell, lease, or trade your personal information. LawHQ Tech may share personal information in connection with MP-Services as needed for functionality, or at your direction or with your consent, including when you request to be connected with, referred to, or transferred to another application, tool, service, attorney, or law firm through the Services. LawHQ Tech may also share personal information to comply with legal obligations, such as responding to subpoenas, court orders, or regulatory requirements.

LawHQ Tech may share personal information with service providers, contractors, and infrastructure providers as reasonably necessary to operate, host, secure, maintain, and support the Services. Your information, including personal information, may be stored on servers operated by third parties (e.g., Google Cloud). These servers may be located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  6. Retention of Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and any applicable Service-Specific Terms. Retention periods vary depending on the Service you use, the nature of the information, and applicable operational, security, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping needs. Applicable Service-Specific Terms may provide for shorter retention periods or for non-retention of certain information.

  7. Security of Your Information

LawHQ Tech uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards are designed in light of the nature of the information we collect and the Services we provide. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or personal information.

  8. Protecting Your Child's Privacy

The Services are not designed for use by anyone under the age of 13 (a “Child”), though we realize a Child may attempt to use the Services. If you are a Child, you must seek the permission of a parent or guardian before using the Services. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your Child is using the Services, please contact us if you would like to remove your Child's account; we reserve the right to ask you for verification of your relationship to the Child before we honor such a request. If we discover that a Child has created an account, we may delete the account or obtain the requisite consent from the Child’s parent or guardian for the Child to continue using the Services.

  9. Links to Third-Party Websites

Services may contain links to other websites that are not under our direct control. These websites may have their own policies regarding privacy. We have no control of or responsibility for linked websites and links are provided solely for your convenience and information. You access such linked websites at your own risk. These websites are not subject to this Privacy Policy. You should check the privacy policies, if any, of those individual websites to see how the operators of those third-party websites will utilize your personal information.
